The numbers you enter stay on your device

All calculations run in your browser. The salary and other details you type into a calculator are not sent to our server and are not stored by us. If you copy a result link, the values are part of that link, so anyone you share it with can see them.

No accounts

ExpatSalary has no user accounts and does not set its own tracking cookies. Analytics and advertising are described below.

Server and network logs

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting, and deletes them on a rolling basis.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we know what to improve. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not track you across other websites and does not build a profile of you. It records information such as the page viewed, the referring website, your browser type, your country and how fast the page loaded. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising from Google AdSense. Our pages load Google's advertising code, and Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and prevent fraud. Ads can be personalised based on your earlier visits to this and other websites.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Other ad networks may also serve ads through Google's advertising technology. How Google uses information from advertising cookies is explained in Google's advertising policies.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
